Challenge Update
Jul 14th
So I thought I would write an update on my progress with my “getting fit challenge”. I began in January 2009 with the aim of getting fitter, getting a six pack and building some muscle. For the first three months of the challenge which took me to 20th April, I concentrated on all over body workouts three times a week to condition my body and prepare it for more intense workouts. I have not gone over board on the cardio workouts so I would not lose any muscle but that said I have probably gained some fat. When I weighed myself back in January I weighed 155 pounds and had a body fat percentage of 20% according to the scales I have that measure body fat. These are not exactly accurate but it’s all I had at the time. More >

Well 2009 is here, another year doing the same thing day in day out and not getting anywhere fast. I think not, I have decided this year is going to be a year of change and improvement and achieving goal and ambitions.
Hi, I am Paul Stephens. I am 28 years old (at the time of writing this) I work for a large company and earn a reasonable wage for what I do. For a couple of years I have constantly thought about getting fit, getting a six pack and just living a healthier lifestyle. And like most other people out there I have failed, because I lacked the commitment needed to make the changes need in my life to fulfil these goals.
I am currently not happy with my fitness levels, social life and just generally how my life is turning out. To that end I have set myself the challenge of achieving a six pack in 2009. Now, there are various reasons for picking that challenge which will be come apparent in my other posts. But the main reason is that it requires commitment, dedication and hard work to obtain the end result. These are factors that I feel I need to improve on in other areas of my life so I feel I will benefit all round. More >
